I just broke an easy out off inside one of the exhaust manifold bolts I was trying toremove. The easy out broke flush with the hole. The only thing I can think of to get it out is to get a revirse rotation drill bit and see if I can it to spin out. Any help at this point would a VERY BIG help. Other wise my only other alternative will be to pull the head and send it to a machine shop.

Good luck trying to dril out an EZ out. That stuff
is hard tool steel...or it's supposed to be.

Try a small center punch and Ford wrench and
see if you can get it to back out. Use lots of
penetrant.

I was talking with a friend of mine that does car restoration. I thought if anyone would know how to get out a stuck bolt it would be him. He told me to put a big wad of weld on the bolt and then weld a crap screw driver to the wad then let it sit to let the heat penitrate the head. Then wiggle it back and forthand the blot will come out. He says the it works every time and doesn't screw anthing up. I guess we'll see what happen tomorrow.

Just be sure you don't wind up welding the broken bolt to the head. I would also try to avoid using too much heat. I have done this before and it can be done easily, just be careful
you don't use too much welding rod.
Good Luck

Well good news the welder worked. I can't believe how easy it was to do. Once I got the bolt out I ran a tap into the hole to clean anything out and put the manifolds back on.

thanks for the in put
