Subject: More from my V6 4x4 IP: Logged
Message: I have a stock 05 4X4 quad cab automatic with some upgraded tires that are a bit bigger then stock. I will be keeping this truck for some time BUT I need to improve it for towing at high elevation. Anything over 7000' and I am in 1st gear wound out to around 4500-5000 just to get up the mountain. Now I need to pull a two place snowmobile trailer. Any help or suggestions on this 6 cylinder besides getting an 8? Thanks

Message: that is a 3.7
hughes engines and fastman make bigger throttle
bodies around 12hp 20 torque at wheels
A cold air intake will also help as will a low
restriction muffler
The only option with the computer is a custom
reflash around $400
1 other thing would be to change the rear gears
3.91 4.10
There are not a lot of options for the 3.7 like
the older 3.9
