Subject: please give me some advice IP: Logged
Message: Hello all. I found this site on Google and really need some advice about my V6 Dodge Dakota 2002 SXT with approximately 33,000 miles (low mileage b.c. I was in Australia for 3 years).
I have two problems. First, the air conditioning will only go level 4 (highest level of output) or level 0 (no air, off mode). Has anyone experienced this? Is it a wiring issue? I'm wary that I'll get ripped off when I take it to a random place and its not that big of a deal to begin with.
Second, my driver side carpet is usually always very very damp. At times, it has been sopping wet. There is no smell of mildew (spelling?) but I notice it whenever I vacuum my car at the car wash. Is this from the air conditioning leaking. Problem 2 began before Problem 1 if that helps.
I hope these two issues aren't interconnected.
Thank in advance for any help you can offer!

Message: Your blower fan resistor is bad. $20 dealer only item. It is under the glove bow and a quick fix. The water is from your AC drainage tube that is probably clogged. Try not running your AC or defrost for a few days to see if it stops.
