everytime i move the AIT sensor, i get the check engine light on, this time i checked the code n i got code P0455-"A large Evaporative Emission Control System leak has been detected."

the only thing i could think of, is that the plug i put in the intake to fill the hole where the sensor was, isnt tightened enough, but the light goes away even if i dont switch it back, any ideas?

check the hoses on the charcoal canister in front of the fuel tank for cracks.

the plug you put in the manifold has nothing to do with that code.

it has to, the light only comes on when i move it back and forth from the intake manifold to my cold air intake, it happens everytime, and only when i change it, never at any other points

i dont get it, i know the code has to do with gas, but it only goes off when i move the sensor back and forth, no other times, and it goes away within a day

Check to see if there is something else moving when you place the sensor in a different position. Like a wire harness, connector, something along those lines. Maybe when you are leaning into the engine you are hitting up against something. Daddio is right, one should have nothing to do with the other.

Try and fix the problem associated for the code like the charcoal cannister and its lines.

im not saying hes wrong, i kno normally that answer would make sense, but it only goes off when i move the sensor, which is y i thought the hole in the intake b4 i plug it up could maybe be considered the big leak

it just puzzles me to no end, but i will still check everything else

evap system has nothing to do with the intake. do you have a manual? if you do read about the emission controls and you will find find the system works.

it just plain doesnt make sense

from the haynes manual:

"1. The fuel evaporative emissions control (EVAP) system absorbs fuel vapors from the fuel tank and, during engine operation, releases them into the engine intake system where they mix with the incoming air/fuel mixture."

maybe i was right?
or maybe im not understanding that paragraph correctly, but it says right there, it releases them in2 the intake system

The evap could be your gas cap

The IAT will set a code if it reads below 50
degrees

6" from throttle body no farther away this is the
best location

well the sensor is midway between the filter and the throttle body, more like 8-10 inches

and it was below 50degrees when i took the sensor out, so it was in the cold for a bit
