Subject: All plugs are white! IP: Logged
Message: So apparently I'm running lean and or too hot on all cylinders. I heard that the temp sensor acts as a choke and can control fuel/air mixture. Should I go with this first?

Message: engine temp
air temp
o2 sensors control air fuel ratio
how long ago was the o2 replaced recomended
60 to 80,000 miles
don't know what year truck but the front pre
cat closest to engine controls A/F
ngk.com get a good sensor not a bosch or other
sensor most parts places sell that fit a 1000
dif vehicles get the right one oem
the plugs need to be a light tan sandy color
or its not right and you will have low power
and bad gas mileage

Message: Larry, I just put in a new front o2 when I did the rest of my tune up so I imagine it should improve in the next couple hundred miles. Im guessing I should pull a plug when I refill my tank to see how it's doin. I had a POS bosch o2 in but it's all NGK now, the rear was replaced a couple weeks ago.

Message: The check engine light still hasn't went off, I'll try and get the codes read soon. What should I replace first if the problem doesn't go away?

Message: Auto zone and many other places will do a free
scan
before you replace anything see what codes you get
Try a hard reset remove batt cable turn and hold
key just like your starting the truck for 1 min
shut off reconect batt cable and start and run
see if the light comes back
if it does you need to see what codes you have
