Message: I'm looking at finally getting some exhaust work done on my 2000 Regular Cab V6 5-speed. I've got the intake side fairly taken care of (short of 1.7RR, which I doubt I could install at the moment do being a poor bastard). I called around some shops down here, and the one that seemed the most honest with me was Midas. The guy was hesitent to give me a fixed figure price, since he wasn't exactly sure how many custom bends he would have to do, and he wanted me to come in and look at his mufflers/tips, as well as possibly listen to some sound clips from the different models.
I liked that, I'm always nervous when someone gives me a fixed price over the phone. He -did- estimate between $250-300 depending on what I have him do (he recommended dual-outs for the 'coolness' factor).
My question is this:
What does anyone know about the Midas performance mufflers? They are selling Ravin Performance Exhausts now ( http://www.goravin.com/home.html ). The Z-tube design, from what I've learned about audio and how frequencies interact with each other, seems sound to me. But has anyone actually seen/heard one in operation?

Message: Yeah, I'm thinking about it. Also eyeing one of those high-flow catlytic convertors from speedtweaks... get everything from the manifolds back done. I was thinking of getting headers, but if I'm going to be putting on a Turbo in a year or so, no point in buying two sets. Besides, from what I've heard the stock ones flow pretty good...
No one has experiance with the Midas Ravin mufflers?
