Subject: transmission fluid? IP: Logged
Message: I'm getting ready to do some engine upgrades and once those are installed I am going to have my oil changed, my radiator flushed and have my transmission fluid changed and a new filter put in it. I was wondering who makes a good transmission fluid to use or if there isn't a big difference in tranny fluids as there is in oils. I also saw that walmart is selling Mopar ATF+4 transmission fluid and was wondering if that is the best bet for my '95 dakota. Said something about being made from high grade VI base stocks on the back of the bottle. Thank you very much for any information!

Message: yep, Wally has the MoPar ATF +4, plus many other outlets have ATF +4, such as Auto Zone.
They carry the Valvoline brand, which is what the MoPar stuff is to my knowledge.
Since it is synthetic, be ready to pay about $4.25/qt.
