Message: The bores in the V8 are 50mm going 52 will not help
If you look down the bores you will see a step
called a torque step smaller than the actual bore
remove this step for a true 50mm TB
just carfully remove it
take the screws out of the throttle plates and
mark the bore wher the plates sit with dye or
just a magic marker and do not hit this area
oh pull the shaft after you remove the plates
a couple little scratches will not hurt you
but do not remove any material in this area
some small sanding barrels from a hardware store
and a drill will do the job
this will give you some nice gains around 25hp
on the V8
take your time and get this step out and taper
a little bigger towards top of bore like a
volicity stack the center if done right will
be sharpe like a razor blade
if it takes you all day or even 2 days just be
carfull not to hit where the throttle pl;ates sit
The shaft after plates are removed some pull out
very hard
also remove the material above the top of bores
krcperformance.com and fastman has some picks
to see what you need to do

Message: 50mm for the V8
You can go 52 if you open the bores on the intake
a very small just noticeable low end loss under
1600rpm over that a gain of 10 to 15hp on the
V8's over the 50mm
The intake gasket match the flage remove the
devider and shorten the runners to 14" there
is anothe 15hp doing this from 3000 to redline
and will not effect the low end doing this

Message: Follow Larry's advise,
I tried a 52mm on a 4x4 Dak with the 5.2l v8 and it was to large. I lost a fair amount of low end torque. The 48mm is plenty big enough.
Wadak
92 and 97 Daks both with many mods.
