Message: Mike, all they had at Advance Auto Parts was the assortment of ball studs all in the same package. They don't sell a single one by itself. The one I put on was about 5/16". A speed shop might have it as a single item, or maybe direct from Holley. An old fashioned hardware store may have one too. I think it was Dakota49 who told me he just uses a pan head screw with a head that fit the hole in the tb cable connector and just used a couple of lock nuts to hold it in place on the linkage. He said it has worked great.

Message: Jimmy, thanks for the info.
I saw in one of your other posts that you were considering installing a higher-flow muffler. Here's my advice (keep in mind I drive a 98 not an 01... but anyway...)
Don't bother trying to install it yourself. Have a good shop do it, unless you have a lift, pipe cutter, pipe flare, and a welder.
I tried to install a muffler myself. My truck's a socal truck, not a spec of rust. The muffler U-bolts came off with a hand wrench, didn't even need WD40. But the muffler was clamped too tight from the factory, no amount of hammering, swearing, or blood loss would make it budge. You could cut the pipes off, but the back won't leave enough straight pipe left over to use a U-bolt, you'll need to weld it I think.
I took mine to a shop and had it welded on. Well, the guy welded it on kinda funny, and I just noticed a ring on my driveshaft where the muffler's been bumping it when I hit potholes and speedbumps.
I went with a dynomax 17748 which is commonly endorsed on these forums. It's a very tame muffler, quiet as stock at first, but develops a bit of a grumble after you burn it in, I like it now. It does flow better than stock. It was longer than the factory muffler on my truck, and the center-in offset-out somehow didn't work out for me, like I said it hits the driveshaft shortly before the suspension bottoms out.
Now it looks like I'll get mine cut mine off again and have it re-welded properly. Probably at a different shop though!

Message: Just wanted to share my recent performance upgrade experience. I just installed a throttle body from 318 onto my 3.9, if you get it from the same year vehicle all cables and sensors are the same, just pull your's off and bolt the new one on. I had a true dual exhaust system from the engine back installed and installed OBX headers. I switched to 0W-30 Amsoil and flushed my engine out and installed the E3 plugs. Also installed a new K&N air filter. Bottom line, increased my mileage from 18 highway to just over 24 mpg. My Dakota is a 94 and never ran this good when it was new.
