Subject: More Confidence in my Dak? IP: Logged
Message: Ok...
My problem is that I don't really know how fast my truck is. I think it can run fast as hell, but when matched up against someone, i just keep thinking to my self " Its only a six, its not a Big Block V8." I guess I havent run it enough around here. I live in a small college town and cops are everywhere. I literally cant afford another ticket. I used to run alot with my 92 Dak V6 auto, and it would hang with anyone. My problem is I think that they are gonna get me when I shift. I now have a 97 V6 5speed. I am fast with it, I really am, I guess i just dont have enough confidence in my old buddy(my truck). Am I just being stupid or can I really hang with a lot of stuff out there? My complete mods in two weeks:
K&N Homebrew
stock 5.9L TB
180 t-stat
Flowmaster cat-back
Autolite 3923's
Carsound Highflow Cat
FMS Injectors
IAT Adjuster(if it gets here)
TPS adjustment
Those with sticks..when do yall shift?...I usually let it get to 4500 RPMs before I shift it. Anyone with similar mods have 1/4 mile times?
Kick the tires and light the fires! 97 Dakota CC 3.9L 5 speed Flowmaster 40 Deltaflow , K&N Home Brew intake, Autolite 3923's, 180 t-stat, stock 5.9L V8 TB Soon: FMS Injectors, No Cat, Electric Fan, IAT Adjuster(when it gets here)
