is the 3.9 in my 1990 the same type as in like a 97 or is there a differnce like in headers and stuff like that?

I have a 92 3.9v6, and swapped in a 2001 3.9 v6. I had to use my old intake and exhaust and flex plate, crank sensor etc.. But the long block is the same

Trent, the 90 is before the magnum series and is different. a few parts fit but not many
