Subject: dented bumper IP: Logged
Message: 2000 slt v6 4x4 club cab
i was going through my school parking lot this winter and hit ice and slid into a hard as concrete snow burm. i didnt hit it hard at all but put a nice dent in the front passenger side of my bumper. it is just a grey bumper with a little chrome on top and i dented only the bottom grey part. i dont have fog lights so no worries there. thats exactly where its debted. my question now is how would i go about popping the dent out?? its not bad enough to even consider replacing it just noticable and bugs me. in size its about 6x5 inches and pushed in 3-4 inches. any suggestions on popping it out would be rightious. oh and one more thing my truck has 164000 miles on all original parts(my tranny has a mind of its own and sometimes works and doesnt. sometimes it races/surges when you give it gas just to maintain 25 mph and some times it works fine but thats for another post) but i get really horrible gas milage like as in 220 miles from a full 20 gal. tank. thats a little over 11 on average. i think it might be sludge build up cause of how sluggish it seems to be especially from a stop but i have no idea. are there any cheap and easy things i could do myself w/o paying a lot or having to have a ton of tools or experience to ad milage and power??
