i was going through my school parking lot this winter and hit ice and slid into a hard as concrete snow burm. i didnt hit it hard at all but put a nice dent in the front passenger side of my bumper. it is just a grey bumper with a little chrome on top and i dented only the bottom grey part. i dont have fog lights so no worries there. thats exactly where its debted. my question now is how would i go about popping the dent out?? its not bad enough to even consider replacing it just noticable and bugs me. in size its about 6x5 inches and pushed in 3-4 inches. any suggestions on popping it out would be rightious. oh and one more thing my truck has 164000 miles on all original parts(my tranny has a mind of its own and sometimes works and doesnt. sometimes it races/surges when you give it gas just to maintain 25 mph and some times it works fine but thats for another post) but i get really horrible gas milage like as in 220 miles from a full 20 gal. tank. thats a little over 11 on average. i think it might be sludge build up cause of how sluggish it seems to be especially from a stop but i have no idea. are there any cheap and easy things i could do myself w/o paying a lot or having to have a ton of tools or experience to ad milage and power??

Message: It's a job best done with 2 people but you should be able to remove your front bumper assembly by removing the torx bolts in the inside front edge of each fenderwell and then remove the 4 bolts on each end of the bumper mounts, between the bumper and radiator/ac condenser. Then you can remove the fasteners holding the bumper cover on and maybe pop the dent out from the back side with soft faced hammer or a body repair dolly and hammer.
Not sure about the transmission trouble. Sounds like it could be the valve body but if it was the check engine light would probably be on. Check it for codes thru the odometer or ask Autozone or somebody to scan the truck for codes. If your school has an auto shop class maybe they could help you with it. Maybe do a flush and refill of the trans fluid and put in a new filter if that hasn't been done in the last 30K or so.
Good luck with it.
