 Subject: Sputtering, almost jerking

Hey guys, I need some help. My truck recently has began sputtering when I start up my truck, when I drive it at low and high speeds. Some have told me it needs a tune up while others said it could be my fuel filter/fuel pump. Any ideas/suggestions?

What year truck is it? If its a first gen, it could very well be the fuel regulator.
