Message: The oil sending sensor is at the back of the engine next to the dist. its not real hard to replace, there is a special tool you can buy, or of you have a little patience you can use an ajustable wrench. Just unplug remove, put new one in. As for cost I can't remember what I paid for mine,I think it was 35bucks, again I really can't remember. I replaced mine in 2002.
Call Auto-Zone or some other parts store and if they have one they can tell you how much it cost.
Good Luck
