Message: I have a ’95 dakota sport with a 3.9 and 5 speed manual trans. I am having problems starting and it seems to be tied to the clutch. I have to feather it in and out with the key turned to start to get it to turn over. Sometimes it starts on the first try but other times it takes 10 presses of the clutch pedal to find the correct location to get it to turn over. Any ideas? I buzzed through the fix it manual but didn’t come up with much. I read on another forum about a neutral safety switch but have no idea where to locate, what to look for, and ease of replacement.
Thanks for the help.

Message: There should be a switch on the clutch pedal arm that completes the starter circuit when you depress the clutch pedal.
It may also be on the tranny.
