Subject: fuel rail hose

Message:

I found a leak in the plastic hose (which is covered by rubber) that runs between the rear of the two fuel rails. I called my friendly Dodge dealership to see if they had the part. It seems they can't sell me just the hose, I have to buy the fuel rails! I don't think so Time! I was just wondering if any of you have ever replaced it. I am going to try using just some high-pressure fuel line hose. The one that is on there is a hard plastic but I can't imagine the gas going through it will care. Any thoughts??

Be sure to use only hose rated SAE 30R9 or 100R6. 30R7 or less is not rated for the high pressures that fuel injection produces.
