Does anyone know the adjustment specs for the backlash on a 98 dakota. I have a haynes book but it doesn't go deep enough into the diff. I know how (by turning the threaded sleeves) but I need to know the specs. Side to side play also if any.

pinion height must be right
there is no side to side do you want it floping
around.
backlash .008 to .012
check wear pattern for center
If you don't know don't do this needs to be right
or noisy and will not last
