Subject: FUEL INJECTOR O'RINGS IP: Logged
Message: I don't know if Iam on to something, but how many have overlook these O'rings for your fuel injecors?? I was checking some things and for some reason I move one of my injectors twisting it and my idle went up some and came back down, now Iam thinking my injector O'rings been leaking for some time and pondered in my head thats where my mileage has been.Because thinking if they are leaking?? sending false air reading to PCM what tells to richen or increase pulse time for the injector to richen up for lean condition detected. This leads me to poor gas mileage and blame the 02's. How many out there done this routine check or overlook it ??

Message: pete, that's a good guess, and its cheap enough to change them so it wouldn't hurt to put in a new set and see what happens.
God Luck

Message: Liquid nails!!?? wouldn't consider, what if you had remove one them or all liquid nails is a permanent adhesive if I recall, and I would think that you would break off an injector(s) in your manifold?? I was thinking if they been leaking at the O'rings how many trucks out there with same issue, cause thinking how many suffering mileage down or bad and we all point right away to the 02 sensors or another sensor or to. When I do changed these O'rings out after the holidays will use silicone or clean motor oil like reccomendations, then I hook up my scanner and look at my fuel trim tables and voltage across the 02's right now reading on the rich side and have a rough idle like a vacuum line off and of course mileage down,no codes either yet?

Message: Tell me this Larry why did I have RPM increase and watch my 02's change thinking theres a leak and the following day did this again no change in RPM or change in 02's on scanner. Still deciding whether to change them out?? And clips are still in tact never mess with them before first time I look at injectors as cause for showing up on rich side at idle with scanner and no codes and don't have an intake leak and plugs as you suggest to be tan mine white leads me being lean as you would say to Hmmm...
