Subject: P133 error code IP: Logged
Message:
I have a 2004 dakota 4x4 with a V6 and when I ran my diagnostics, it gave me this code - P133
I think it said Slow Oxygen sensing circuit - Bank1, Position1
I guess I need to replace the O2 sensor, but can someone tell me where it's located?
Thanks!
Mike

Message: You'll find the upstream O2 sensor on the top of the exhaust tube in front of the catalytic converter. It took a while for me to locate mine as you usually just have to look for the wire. Dodge does a nice job of securing it to the transmission so it isn't obvious. Bring a flashlight and look for a wire coming off the tranny towards the exhaust pipe, you'll find it easiest that way.

Ahh - found it!!
But how the heck do I get a wrench on it?? There's no space in there at all. What did you folks do?
Also, I see the wire, but where the heck is the connector?? Looks like the wire runs off to oblivion somewhere. Very tightly packed. The driver side is stuffed up into a tight crevice that I can't even get my fingers into.
The passenger side is up under the transmission - Good God!!
Did anyone just cut and splice the wires? Is this possible?
Thanks again,
Mike
