can someone fill me in? what's up with the supertech oil from wal mart? why is everyone trying it? is it some kind of synthetic or something? just curiuos, seeing a lot of posts about supertech oil. let me know, thanks!!

they make both regular and a syn oil
both are API certified and at a good price
walmarts is also now carrying
genuine Mopar oil filters
& Mopar ATF fluids

synthetic supertech oil is around $14/5 qt and name brand oil is around $25/5 qt at wal-mart.
advance (i assume other parts stores) carry their brandrd products of ATF fluid which is usually cheaper than mopar atf at wal-mart.
I've actually found that i get better fuel economy (low speeds) with supertech synthetic than mobil 1.

Walmart is always seeking the lowest price point.
Walmart has changed the contract several times, Havoline, Exxon, Citgo and now signed with Quaker State.
To meet Walmarts price point QS has to use recycled oil.
Most recycled oils are used in municipal fleet operations. Maybe that is why the buses break down so often.

the key reason they did this is to
cut down shipping costs and
the savings passed on at retail
its good oil guys
and every bottle meets all car/truck makers specs
for warranty approval

The SuperTech you guys buy at WalMart is a super
refined dino oil from Warren which is a distributor for QS in the US. Somebody else distributes it in Canada. This came from BITOG.
