Subject: runs sluggish and stalls IP: Logged
Message: Runs fine in the morning but after 5 mins it runs real sluggish and at slow speeds it stalls ex. like backing out of a parking space and letting off the gas the engine will stall on me. Its an automatic and I do have an msd box installed but have ran it for years without problems. I have no cataylitic convertor. could this be an o2 problem maybe?

Message: it will and can cause
Stalling, poor running engine, pinging,
poor MPG's
& having no cut will kill the EGR valve
you need some back pressure my friend
i would suggest a high flow cat of your choice
& replace the EGR

Message: that does make sense about the cat. After I took the cat off I shortly after started getting the code, but it hasn't started to run this way till about a few months ago and I removed the cat well over 3 years ago maybe even 4 or more.

Message: Ever look through a cat? Try it and then tell me where the back pressure comes from. It's time to clean or repair the EGR. Good enough.

Message: chris, you can try to clean the EGR valve with brake cleaner, or carb cleaner, either one should work ok the problem could be the valve is just wore out and needs replaced. You could remove the IAC valve and clean it as well, just handle with care and don't try to move the piece on the end of the valve. While you have the valve out IAC/EGR it would also be a good idea to spray some cleaner into the holes where they go.
Good Luck

trying to clean it is a waste of time
Honestly trying to clean them in general is a waste of time
They wear out and need replacing
So why fart around

Message: It could also be the PCM temp sensor located on the front of the intake man. NOT the engine temp sending unit.
There are 2 wire and 3 wire models.
Mine did the same thing until I changed that sensor.
