Subject: IAC sensor IP: Logged
Message: so back about a month or two i replaced my IAC sensor because i broke it. I didn't get a mopar sensor, got one at advance auto. i couldn't spring for the $100 mopar versus the $50 advance auto. recently truck has been running terrible, fast idle, horrible gas mileage, not much power. Never would have suspected the IAC since i just replaced it but guess what? I took it off today to clean and inspect, turned the little metal sleeve (not the plunger) a few times and put back in and now a huge difference. it's not drinking gas anymore and idle much better and got power back.
Question is: could the sensor be sticking and if so is there anyway to grease it without ruining it? anyone??

Message: The best thing to do would be to remove the IAC, clean it with carb cleaner, and the throttle body
then replace and see if that helps, apparently, something was a little off for it to make a big difference in the way it is running.
Good Luck
