Adding a spacer accomplishes nothing, but getting a whole new throttle body that's bored out and polished can give you a performance increase. See www.TheFastMan.com

The design of the beer barrel manifold just
don't work with the spacers

Everyone we tried actualy hurt performance by
disrupting and decreasing the flow

what I did do is make my own straight bore matched
to the throttle body 48mm in my case did improve
low end and throttle response some

That is just making the ventury longer and the
flow did speed up some top end the same

with a smaller throttle body low end is a little
better but you lose big on the top end this is
also why most of the 4x4 V6 trucks came with a
42mm with a 40mm torque step

your best performance is from either the
48mm F&B or the 46mm fastman they are so close
you cant tell the diff but on the dyno the 48mm
always showed more torque around 10 and 4hp
also crisper throttle response but the diff is
so small either is a great way to go
also both showed gains from off idle to redline

the V8 swap low end the same with mid and top
end gains

one other thing the bores in the V6 manifold is
48mm going any bigger is like pounding your
head against the wall
