Subject: squeaking from front arms IP: Logged
Message: im new to the site but i was wondering if anyone else had this problem, i have a 04 dakota STX noticed when it got colder here in NJ my A arm bushings started to squeak. is it just junk rubber? or am i missing somthing?

Message: more than likely it is the bushings. could also be the springs (2 wheel drive) or shock mount bushings possibly. i think 4x4 has torsion bars so maybe it could be them too. try isolating it by spraying some silicone on the bushings and see if it still squeaks. then try the springs if you have them or torsion bars, and try the shock mount bushings. let us know how you make out.

Message: soap solution works much better to stop the squeeking. Silicon does not seem to help at all.

Message: so i sprayed everything under my truck that moves that is mounted rubber mounted. an so after driving it around for 200 miles the squeak has gone away an my an i am one happy camper now haha.
