 Subject: Oil Pressure mystery

I have a 2002 Dakota with the 3.9 V6 under the hood. The strangest thing has been happening. Every now and then the oil pressure gauge plummits to nothing and then all the sudden it will jump back to normal. What the heck would cause that? How do I fix it?

Oil pressure sending unit hs a short in it. Replace the unit and that should solve the problem.
My 92 v6 does it and thats what I need to do.

man trev from what ive seen on here youve replaced almost everything or need to on your truck.by the time your done youll have a new truck maybe better being that your proly usin better parts then the factory did.
