 Subject: Auto transmission shifts hard

I have a 03 dakota, 3.9 v6. When the engine is cold, the transmission shifts rely hard. But after it is warmed up, it is fine. Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

my guess may be fluid?? why not try changing your tranny filter and give it new fresh fluid all in all shouldn't cost you more than like 25$ and some work

i think id run some tranny flush through it before u change the fluid and filter.sounds like u might have a sticking valve or something.or maybe dirt hangin something up somewhere.anyway fluid and filter would be the cheapest and best place to start.
