Subject: Heater hose. IP: Logged
Message: My 2000 Dodge Dakota is at 99998.0 and the Lower Top Heater hose blow this morning. The Hose has plastic hose clamps on the cap T. How do I get these off? Do I cut them and replace them with the medal ones? or do they slide? Please help. I'm disabled and have to do this myself. Can't afford to put it in the shop. Let me tell you though. This is the best truck I've ever owned. Hope it lasts a long time.

Message: Its best to cut them and use new metal one's when you put the new hose on.
Just a suggestion, but after it gets warmed up, you may want to tighten them again. I have had new ones either come loose, or something, so I got into the habbit of retighting them when the engine gets warm.
Good Luck
