decided not to go with nothing costin to much but something middle of the road seeing this truck is my sons daily driver so i went to autozone and got 4 (gabriel max control)did wonders for it no more jumpin sideways the way they do and smoothed out theride alot i had put em on my 03 sierra and liked em so i put em on this too not a bad price on em either 56 bucks each for the dak

A lot of us have found improvement with quite a few different premium shocks. I don't think anyone can say one in particular is the maximum performer over the others. I went with the cheaper monotube Edelbrock IAS myslf. Eliminated the sideways jump like Jeff says. Don't go with stock for sure, the valving doesn't seem well suited to an unladen truck.

yup thats what ive read and found out for myself any premium shock is far better then stock u will feel a difference u can go for something more costly but for daily drivers all u need is something decent not exotic

jeff, Im gettin mixed messages and thought maybe I hadnt phrased my question right, thats why I rewrote it? Now I here monroe max air adjustable gives the most comfort? Im lost an comfort is all I care about because the truck will never carry or haul anything. fevertree1

if your lookin for smooth i think someone said once air ride i think if your not gonna haul or tow like i and many others do u might want to check into that that way u can adjust the ride and feel
