Subject: Fuel Mix too rich IP: Logged
Message: I'm receiving diagnostic trouble codes indicating that the fuel/air mixture on my 96 Dakota 3.9L fuel injected enging is too rich. I've changed both O2 sensors, Idle Air Control Valve, plugs, wires, cap & rotor. Any suggestions?

Message: Thanks daddio.
The MAP sensor voltages ae all correct and all vacuum lines appear in good shape. Good suction at PCV valve and beather port.
Searay - I don't have equipement to test fuel pressure

Message: have you checked the enigne temp sensor? that could cause an overrich condition.

Message: Check the wiring that would be carrying 12 volts, but it maybe shorted 12 volt on sensor wire that normally be fed with approx 5 volts from the ECM,shorted to a 12 volt battery postive supply. If you bought a sensor and had to alter your pigtail for new sensor might done this and as daddio saying check that MAP Sensor vacuum line a little stubby one thoughly for cracks and maybe the sensor internally broke it is only a little ceramic wafer and a spring and electrical connector could be Coolant Sensor to but if you are getting P0052 code its something in your 02 sensor 1 in bank 2 also check 02 sensor relay go from there see your finds... Good Luck
