Message: Kalei, If your has a serpintine belt there should be a diagram under your hood, or on the underside of the hood showing where everything is. There should be a spring loaded idler pully that you can use a ratchet, or breaker bar on to move the pully out so you can remove the belt. If it has the old drive belt, you will have to loosen the alternator bolts and move the alt, to remove the belt(s) then remove the bolts to get the alt. off. Be sure to disconect the battery before you remove the wires from the alt.
Some of the older models used an ajustment bolt to tighten the belt, if you have that kind, you just need to loosen enough to get the belt off, then remove it from the old alt. and put oon the new/rebuilt unit.
I hope this helps,
Good Luck
