Hello,
I have a 1994 Dakota and my fuel gauge does not work.I'm thinking it is not the guage but a rusty, poor or broken connection at the tank.I got under the truck and it looks like you would have to drop the tank to get to the wires.Does anyone have a clue on this problem?Does anyone know the size of the fuel tank?It has a V6 magnum engine.
Thanks,Jim

fuel tank is 15 or 21 gallon i think for your year. instead of dropping the tank you can remove the bolts for the bed and slide it back.

Could be wiring, could be bad sending unit (attached to pump in tank) or bad pump.

I replaced my fuel pump on my old 95 by removing the bed. I wrote a how-to, thought it was posed on here. you may find it. I may have sent it directly to a few people here. Maybe someone has a copy.
