Subject: HELP LEAK! IP: Logged
Message: Theres an oil drip every once and a while on my garage floor. So i went crawling around under my truck near the front to see where the oil was coming from. It looks like it comes from around my crankcasing i think you call it. like right in front of the oil pan. Any ideas?! plz help, somehow i think this is going to be expensive.
I got a 2003 SXT 2wd, if that helps.

Message: I just curious what size engine? Have you been running low on oil or coolant too often? I would think that might be under warranty, it would have been on mine in 92. Thats probably a big enough leak to think about if it just started suddenly. I hope it's nothing major, keep us posted. Toby

Message: I wouldn't be very worried about a 1/2 dollar size oil leak in 2 days. try snugging up the bolts on the oil pan. Don't over tighten. If that doesn't fix it then park on the neighbors driveway. Not enough of a leak to worry about.
Sorry bout the satire....Mine has a small leak that I have tried to fix a couple of times.....To no avail...

Message: sounds like the front seal. easy fix and you may even be able to do it without removing the timing cover.
