I have 249,000 on my 93 Dakota 4x4 V-6, I have owned truck for 15 years, but now the oil pressure drops to 0 (or close to it) when at idle, but rises when applying throttle, I am swapping in a 95 V-8 318 this week and hope to put another 200,000 on truck........lol

Sounds like bad main bearings. I had a vehicle with the same problem several years ago and thats what it turned out to be.

92 Dodge dakota 318 w/ auto tranny 239,756 miles original tranny went out so scrappin truck/ savin motor to build to 408 stroker to put in 93 dakota with v6- eventually

Original owner...'92 dakota 3.9l v6 standard tran...213K miles...didn't have to replace clutch until 180K...replaced timing chain and added tensioner at 198K
