As of today(2-3-08) I ahve 182,525 miles...engine and tranny are still strong....now the bed is another story.lol..and they are as hard to find as hens teeth

I've got a '91 that just turned 250,000 when I bought it, the clock sits at 268,109 as it stands in the driveway refusing to start :(
The old girl averages about 22 MPG in warm weather with a good load of tools & etc. and my only significant expenses so far have been a new ignition switch, a fuel pump, and a cap-and-rotor, it's been a *great* working truck up to now :(
It's got the 3.9 with 5 speed, it *has* had starting 'issues' on cool high-humidity days since I got it but it's been DOA for about a month now, F@#KING winter has kept me from properly digging into the harness but the obvious splices and connectors have all been clean and dry so far....

124k and i have already replaced the motor lol. And my tranny is acting up but i think i just need to flush out the old fluid and put new fluid and possible a sensor.

128,828 as of this morning, bought it as a fixer upper, engine and drive train are solid, including 4wd. K&N air filter, double platinum plua sparks, dual exhaust, and 4 wheel alignment. Never had to add a drop of oil to it, other than the regular 3,000 mile switch. Runs like a champ>

I've got 96 with 205,367 miles, the tranny has a couple minor problems and the engine runs great but it wants to load up when i start it. i replaced the plugs and wires but no help, i even reset the computer, still nothing, any ideas what it may be?

248,000! Still runs nice. I'm trying that acetone in the gas tank thing and it makes my engine idle nicely. I get a little bit better gas mileage doing that too.

Thanks for the info "this guy". I have another problem, when i'm driving down the road my truck cuts out then it fluds real bad and the idle air valve opens and it idles around 2 to 3 grand for about a minute.any suggestions on what might be causing it?
any help is appreciated

92 V6 auto 3.55 reg cab long bed 97 alloys 149k.
Been abused by previous owner (my employer) but they did regular maintenance and did repairs when needed (quite often).
I've had it a bit over 5 years and paid $1700 with 82k on the clock.
needs paint, new exhaust, cat, timing chain, water pump, e-brake cable and has a transmission pump that whines.
But it starts immediately and runs well, uses no oil. Fill it with firewood and it doesn't complain, and carries the load quite well.
Since I've had it I've done the normal wear and tear items like brakes and belt, etc, but have also changed front wheel bearings, one spindle, steering rack,u-joints, ignition switch, engine temp sensor and IAC motor.
I think I'll fix it and keep it a while.

i had 170k on my 1990 before i ripped it aprart and put a 95 318 drivetrain in it
that drivetrain has 125k on it
1990 sport RC SB, 1995 318drivetrain, 3.92 gears (came with truck) Powertrax "traction system", 95 dash/steering wheel, hearthrob exhaust, headers, cutout after y-pipe, necessary electric fan add-a-leafs, 30x9.5 mud tires, cranked T-bars, AR 39 15x8 rims, grill guard, roll bars

i have 87000 but am doing a ground up it will last forever....doing the frame mounts..and am storing it in a garage in the winter.....getting rid of the dash..and the computers....and the motor ...putting in a crate motor from edelbrock//
