Subject: 1990 Dodge Dakota Failed Emissions IP: Logged
Message: I was given a 1990 Dodge Dakota V6, with 180000+ miles on it. An old clunker, I am trying to get it registered in AZ but it failed the Emissions test for a few different reasons, High HC&CO readings also failed the Pressure test on the fuel system. I was told that there could be several different issues??? This is my first vehicle and any helpful hints would be appreciated.

Message: 'Presure test on fuel system' is probably the
Gas Cap.
The failed HC and CO readings are probably caused by Old Catalytis Converter.
But also possible -EGR valve bad.
None of this should be that expensive if either
you do the work yourself , or go to the right
place .
Maybe someone in your area will see this post
and recommend someone to you.
