I have one of these on order right now, and am ready to go outside when it arrives and spend an hour with the hacksaw to make it happen. Or was until I took my Dakota in to be inspected today and the guy drove the truck to ensure everything was working and when he pulled into the parking lot, my lone Gibson muffler had me drooling over my own truck! Such a perfect sound for my steed!
Soooo... Before I take hacksaw to tailpipe and make it necessary to have something back there from now on, what change does the Borla tip make in sound? Does it make it even deeper? Louder? Both? It doesn't act like a resonator, does it? All I want is deeper - it's loud enough.

i have the gibson exaust to and ive always wondered how it sounded outside the truck. im gonna have to let somebody drive it so i can finally hear what it really sounds like. i dont know anything about the borla but im curios to find out.

just by changing the tip will give you little to no change in sound.
