Message: Derek, try cleaning the ground wire, unplug the light, and follow the ground wire to where its grounded to the body, or frame. Clean the connection and you should be good then.
Good Luck

Message: Is the glass scratched and abraded? Was the bright sides glass housing replaced recently? When looking at the two headlights, does one seem clearer than the other?
If so, a little toothpaste, water and elbow grease will help dramatically. The toothpastes with baking soda may work best. Use a thick soft paper towel, like the blue ones you buy in the auto parts store. Keep adding water, the friction will dry it out real fast.
Don't use any abrasive pads, like the scrub pads from the kitchen as this will just aggravate the problem. Also, do not use any kind of vibrating tools as this could damage the glass. If you have a dremel, you might use the soft buffing pads, but I would be very careful and keep a tight grip on it.
I had an accident several years ago and had the drivers side replaced. The passenger side looked half as bright. I read about this in another forumn somewhere and it really worked.
