Shapiro, you didn't say what year it is, but I'm thinking the TPS Throttle position sensor, or if its an older truck maybe the timing is slightly
retarded, it will cause it to do that as well, but if its newer than a 92 then I doubt if it would be the timing. One thing though, most of the time if its the TPS it will trip a code, even though Larry says it some times won't so you could check the tps, and see if that's the problem. You will need a multi-meter to test, check the center wire for current engine off key on, it should be around .5-.75 volts I think. Then you should be able to open the throttle and should go up to 5volts at wide open throttle. Or some where around there.
