Subject: tie rod boots are dry IP: Logged
Message: i still have factory tie rod ends on my truck. i was going over my truck before inspection and noticed the boots to my outer tie rod ends appear to be dry. shouldn't the boots have a little bit of fullness to them, like a little bulge? mine are the opposite, they appear to be completely sunken in.
regardless they are not leaking so i passed inspection but i don't like knowing they might be dried up in there. not sure where the grease went if they're not leaking. should i get a needle injector and fill them up or will the grease just come back out of the spot I put the needle in at. can someone let me know please.

Message: Just take it in for a lube job. That is why though I opted for the greasable Moogs.
