every time the engine is under full throttle around 1800 rpm's an odd noise comes from behind the dashboard. it sounds like trickling water almost. hear it best in 4th and 5th gear if i floor it.

check your Idle air sensor. this had been causing a lot of problems with my truck and i finally replaced it. runs great!

could be air pockets in the heater core makin the sound on my dak the heater core seems to be right behind the insturment cluster(another dodge great idea?)but ive had cars in the past doin that and usually was just air bubbles caught somewhere if its not leakin or over heating its usually just annoying as hell

Last week, I changed my coolant and had the same noise. I think it was air in the system. Only heard it a couple of times...now it's gone.

Did you see my post about the Genie? I could'nt help myself. I have so much noise in my 92 3.9 I couldn't hear niagra falls, but I know my heater core is stopped up ,so I guess it's got to be somewhere on the list. I hope you get yours fixed without taking off the dash.

toby, have you tried backflushing that heater core? common fix if it's not too plugged up.
