is the factory pulley on the steering pump pressed on or bolted on? i see an allen fitting right on front of the pulley. I thought about getting a rebuild kit and doing it myself. i can get the pulley off with a puller but how do i get it back on if there is no bolt to press the pulley back on. i know alot of pumps you buy come with a bolt and washer that you thread into shaft that will drive the pulley on but i don't think you can do this with the factory pump. any help please.

Message: it's pressed on. the threads are further inside the shaft. if you can afford it you'd be better off getting a remanufactured pump, they are guaranteed and everything inside them is new including bushings. you need to get a pulley removal kit, you can remove and install with it.

Message: Don't try to reinstall same pulley. Put a new one on b/c the old one will "walk" back off the pump shaft.
