Subject: Whining noise IP: Logged
Message: Hello to the forum,
2000 Dakota 3.9L--126K miles...
I'm suddenly hearing a "growly" whine, if that makes sense coming from the engine. It's not the tranny, because it whines when parked as well. The pitch changes as I give it gas or let off. Could it be a possible failing alternator? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks to all,
David
