i went from a four cylinder to a V6 motor and transmission...but I am not getting a correct reading on my speedo....does the rear end gears differ that much that would make it read probably 15-20 miles off. Or would I have to change the gear in the tranny to a bigger one?
1989 V6 dakota any help would be great....

you probably need to change the speedo gear in the trans unless you changed gears in the rear end. try to get the old gear out of the old tranny. it may work.
