Subject: Correct Filter? IP: Logged
Message: I am looking to build myself my own home brew Air intake. I have a 99 dakota with cruise and air conidtioning.
I am wondering what is the correct K&N air filter that I need. I see mostly everyone goes with the 6x9 K&N. I am wondering if anyone has the correct part number for a filter that fits onto 3" PVC piping.
I have read on these forums that you may have to move the cruise control? Is this for all gen III Daks? or just the V8's? or the 2000 and newer models?
Anything else I will need to know before doing this mod, I would greatly appreciate knowing before I get in to deep.
Thanks.

Message: If you have an Auto-Zone around you their part# for the filter is RE-0950 I used a 3" Fernco rubber connector, a 12" piece of 3" PVC, a 45 degree male to female connector and painted it with blue heat paint. looks proffesional with the KN sticker on the tube! as far as your cruise control... I have no clue.
