Subject: went wheeling got water in block IP: Logged
Message: i went wheeling and i got water in the engine on a very big puddle and i shut it off right away but i still had to wait to start it and it kept cutting out on the ride out. it eventually went away 15 mins later when i was on the highway coming home. i am going to replace the oil and use this stuff sea foam. is there anything else i can do? any other possible things i can do. let me know. Message: I don't know just what you did, I am thinking you got a bunch of water in the throttle body and into the engine that way. I would think if you drove for another 15 minutes if there was any water in the cylinders it would be gone by the time it stopped. I would think the first thiong would have been hydrolock cyl. full of water.
I would think changing the oil/fliter, and air cleaner would do the trick. Be sure to clean all of the air filter passages, no mud, water, or other trash.
