My last mod to complete was a performance computer for my 95, ordered in May from Summit. I kept getting later and later delivery dates and today I got a cancelation. Manufacture can't fill the order to Summit. Looks like I won't be doing that mod. Guess I waited too long.

are you sure you can't send your's or get your hands on another stock puter to send off and have someone reprogram it? I thought I have seen places online that offer to do that. Larry could direct you in the right direction I'm sure.

You're right, need to keep digging. Larry must be on vacation. Anyone know of another place than Summit to get a performance computer for a 95? Or reprogram a computer?

Do I use the number DCC-5249521 for the PCM or just ask for a performance computer for a 95 4x4 Dakota. The above part number is the only one I know of, I don't know it that's a Summit number or Mopar number. The Hughes-engine option is a bit pricey and giving them my pcm to re-flash leaves me stuck if I don't like the mod and want to change back.

Just use a P in front of the number for the dealer

B&G is not flashing the obd1 anymore
The only ones for that would be DC Performance

I've been searching for MOPAR parts and P5249521 brings up SBEC 1992/93 MAB is this the performance computer I want and will it work in a 1995? I would think so since it's GenII. Just want to be sure. What's SBEC & MAB mean?

Every MOPAR parts dealer I call says factory performance computers have been discontinued.

i believe you can use the 92/93 computer on yours. there use to be a guy on here (fazdak) that used one on his 94, while there is a computer listed for the 94/95.
keep your eye on eBay. they popup every once in a while. i just bought one for my 95 318 for $169. the seller has had several mopar performance computer for sale over the past month or so (used of course). i'll go look up his sellers name if you are interested.

Since the performance computer is no longer manufactured would a stage 2 chip be a good alternative? What's the difference between the two as far as helping performance. Larry, I see you have a stage 2 chip.
