Ok so i have a wee bit of a problem... first off my rearend it stoast i suspenct a spider gear broke thus the chain reaction begins... i'd like to rebuild it but it would cost a good deal of money for how i want to... i also have the option of buying a parts truck with a Magnum engine in it(I have a pre-mag '91 3.9L) now as it sits i have no idea if this truck is is auto or manual trans, mine is manual in the event that this truck is an auto will my pre magnum flywheel, bellhousing preassure plate, and such bolt up to the magnum engine? or are they incompatible?? i thought that the blocks on magnum and pre-magnum engines were more or less the same but i'd like to confirm that this will work it will be a deciding factor in my decision to get the parts truck or to just rebuild the rearend...

86 87 carbed none roller lifter motor

1988 and up roller lifters you can bolt the mag
heads and intake to these motors or bolt the
throttle body heads and intake to a mag motor

any 318 or V6 will bolt up using the flywheel
or flex plate and converter for the trans

The only prob that comes up is the older ones
did not have the flange for the crank sensor

I have also used the mag converted to throttle body, mag with a 500 2bl holly carb and an old
type dist

All you need is fuel and timing and they run the
older distrubuters had the advance in the dist
not computer controled
