Message: i'm not larry but probably somewhere around 140hp @ the wheels. if i'm not mistaken the '92-'93 3.9's were rated @ 180hp and for an auto trans subtract about 20% for drivetrain loss.

Message: I'm not sure about cars and trucks, but I know big trucks lose about 20% from the flywheel to the ground, I think that's about right for gas engines as well.
Just my thoughts.

Message: The dakota R/T does not put down 250. The Gen 3's w/ the 5.9 are only rated at 250 and the Gen 4's with the 4.7HO is only rated for 260

that is average from 100's of dyno runs
A good rule of thumb that I use is .8
devide or multiply by .8 depending on what you
want rwhp or crank hp
My 4x4 is laying down just over 200 rear wheel
and I just got 25.47 mpg with this truck
