I am trying to get some info on my clutch fan. It is a 95 3.9. How can I tell if it is working properly? Should it run when first started and the engine is cold? In other words, how can I test it. Also, I am considering replacing it with an electric. What size should I use and how much is involved in changing to an electric? Any help would be appreciated.

i had this same problem. It should not be engaged when first starting from cold engine. The clutch is sticking on the fan. You need a new one or replace it like you said with the electric. I'm not much help though as far as what size or what's involved with changing it over to electric.

Go back to page 10 & page 8 and look for my post (ElmerFudd). It goes over install with Larry's help and the AC connection.
